Ghana ThinkTank: Morrocco, 2012

Ghana ThinkTank Morocco (2012)

Ghana ThinkTank with the US State Department and the Bronx Museum, 2012

Shortly after violence erupted in the Middle East over the Youtube video “The Innocence of Mus lims,” the U.S. State Department and Bronx Museum of Art selected Ghana ThinkTank to work as cultural ambassadors in Morocco through the smARTPower program. Using a donkey cart trans formed into a solar powered media center as our base, we traveled through rural villages asking Moroccans for help solving the problems Americans had submitted.

In partnership with Dar Al-Ma’mûn International Residency Center, Tassoultante, Morocco, October 2012.

smARTpower℠ is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, administered by the Bronx Museum of the Arts, with additional support from the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation; and Lori Schiff Chemla and ALTOUR.
